I need to get my writing mojo back. Run the Con helped; I want to be writing again. I just ain't. So, a meme.

Here's how I'll play this. Give me an episode and either a character or the germ of an idea that you would like me to write around and I'll either give you a tag or a missing scene from the episode.

This is a first come, first serve meme, and I'm promising only to write for the first five respondents. However, I will try to fill every one. No promises on when.

Since quick is not the order of the day, I'll post responses as separate journal entries and I will be sure to put the name of the person each one is written for in the post so you'll get notified when it goes up. (Assuming you have your notifications turned on.)

elrhiarhodan's bandwagon. I've never done this meme before but I'm willing to give it a whirl. Ask me about any fic I've written, and I will happily divulge any details I remember.

Here's how it works:

Pick a passage from my stories, up to 500 words, from anything I've written in my LJ masterlist and on AO3, (LJ is missing a couple of my most recent fics, AO3 is complete) and comment to this post with that selection (including a link to the story being excerpted). I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the story, awful puns [perhaps], and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

If you would like to ask about multiple stories, that's awesome. Please post the passages in separate comments so that I can respond coherently about each one. :)

Go to my Masterlist (or AO3 page) and pick a passage from my stories, up to 500 words, and comment to this post with that selection (including a link to the story being excerpted will be very helpful). Alternatively, you can randomly pick a number from 1 to 27, my fic as numbered my AO3 account page. Be advised my AO3 is missing some of the fic you can find on my LJ Masterlist.

I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the story, awful puns [perhaps], and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track. You can ask me anything - character motivation, writing process, or if you disagree with the direction I took in a story, ask me to defend it.

For the next five days talk about three positive things that happened, or some such thing.

Because of REASONS, I failed to start this yesterday. Reasons being my positive things.

1. MEET UP! And getting to meet lovely fandom friends who I have never had the opportunity to meet before. There are too many to list without me forgetting someone, so I won't, but you know who you are.

2. MEET UP! And getting to spend time with lovely fandom friends who I know and love. You also know who you are.

3. Writing! Of the short fic, which is a wonderful exercise. And, man did it feel good to actually finish not just one fic but two, since the BB, which is still not done, has been eating my brain for the last four months.

Sorry for the interruption of your day, but I just needed to give a little shout of triumph. I finished the draft of my Big Bang. FINALLY and just in time for Tuesday's deadline!

My promised mini-bang has become a super-bang. It's come in at a whopping 25,870 words, some 12,000 words longer than my next longest fic.

Of course now I need to edit this monster, oiy.
